The simplest way to get and apply for government jobs is through Dubai Careers, the official Dubai government job portal.
It is not very difficult to obtain a government position
in the United Arab Emirates, but you must have the necessary education and, for
some positions, suitable experience. In reality, numerous government positions are
also advertised for freshmen.
Jobs from various government agencies in the emirate,
including the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Health Authority
(DHA), Dubai Municipality, and Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), are
posted on the platform, which is run by the Digital Dubai Authority. These positions
are open to both Emiratis and ex-pats that are highly skilled, qualified and
experienced.
How to register with Dubai Careers?
To register, first, you need to create an
account. For that, go to the Dubai Careers website and select ‘My
Profile’. Then, select New User and enter the details. After that, log in to
your new account.
Once you created an account, the next step is to upload an updated resume that contains all the information, qualifications, and, experiences. Next, it is important to upload all the necessary documents such as a valid passport copy and Emirates ID.
The following step is to fill in your personal details including
your full name, nationality, birthdate, contact details, etc. After that in the
next section, you have to enter the passport number, emirates id number
and current UAE address. Now, click Save and Continue.
The next step is to enter your language proficiency (Arabic
& English). Also, type in your current salary and notice period for ease of
the process. The following page is about educational
qualifications. Here you could upload all the certificates according
to the level of relevance with the date of issuance, expiry, ID, etc.
Now, you have to enter the details of the entire
previous work including the employer’s name, your job title, work timings,
and starting and last date of work. Next, you are supposed to add a
list of references based on your preference. These references are
individuals.
After all these steps, alert your job openings and enter
your job preferences. Then select the preferred job fields and select ‘Add
to list’. Click ‘Save and Continue’.
The last step is to review the application and
click Submit.
How to apply for Dubai Government jobs?
After successfully registering, you could apply for different
jobs. For that:
- Visit the Dubai Careers website
- Login to your account. If not, create an account.
- Click on the Job search menu
- The following page shows the current job openings. By selecting the employers and job field on the left side of your screen, you can narrow down your search.
- Each post contains information about the job, such as the title, the government agency, and whether or not foreign applicants are welcome. If you find a position that interests you, you can either click "Apply Now" or "Save" to apply for it later.
- Under 'My Job Page' in the menu bar, you can see all of your saved job listings.
- Click Apply Now. You will have to answer a few questions related to the work later.
